Introducing the Jim Thompson x Shone Puipia collaboration, a 6-piece ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2019.

Jim Thompson invited Shone Puipia to present his own interpretation of the iconic Thai silk brand. Drawing inspiration from the company’s rich heritage in silk-weaving and the duality of nature and urban life, Shone brought his unique sense of colour and prints to create a vision of beauty with mystery and allure.

Flowers of the night. Photographic floral arrangements were reduced to shadows and silhouettes and translated into rich jacquard fabrics. The key print of the collection was created from true scale spray-paint stencils of flowers and foliage, giving a shadowy effect to the designs. Patchwork of silk squares evoke the geometrical pattern of tropical snake scales.
